Mount Pumori was first ascended by a German Swiss in 1964. It is technically tough and challenging which offers a wild exposure to the tough adventure. Climbers require previous mountaineering experience and excellent physical fitness. Reaching the summit will provide with stunning picturesque views of various snowcapped mountains including Mount Lohtse and Mount Everest. The entire package of the expedition will provide you an experience of being intimate with the natural scenery and will also give the sense of achievements.

The main journey beins from the base camp of Pumori Peak. Mount Pumori Base Camp can be reached from Kathmandu –to Lukla flight which is followed by trekking via Namche Bazaar, Thangboche – Pheriche and Lobuche. Mount Pumori is 7145m high and the ascent starts at an elevation of 5300m and is situated right beside a beautiful small lake. On reaching the summit, you can see beautiful sight of Mt. Everest and Kalapathhar at 5545m.


Detail Itinerary of Pumori Expedition

Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu airport
you will be received at Tribhuvan International airport by our representatives from there you will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

Day 02- Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

This day will be spent by visiting Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and other monumental places.

Day 3 – Official formalities in Kathmandu.

The expedition leader will check that everyone’s equipment is in working order. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 4 – Final preparation day in Kathmandu.

Final opportunity for last-minute purchases.

Day 5 – Fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding.
The trek will head forward from Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for the 35 minute and will have scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2804m). After landing there the trek will get time to explore the village.

Day 6 – Trek to Namche Bazaar.

The trek will then move to Namche Bazaar, known as the “Gateway to Everest,” is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafe and a bakery.

Day 7 – Namche Bazaar acclimatization day.

A day will be spent in Namche in order to adjust to the high altitude. You will get to see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks

Day 8 – Trek to Tengboche Monastery.
On this day the trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi, with magnificent views of the mountains. After five hours of trek we’ll reach Tengboche, where the local monastery can be seen.

Day 9 – Trek to Dingboche.

From Thyangboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones.

Day 10 – Trek to Chhukung & to Dingboche.

This is another exploration to adjust to the altitude. We’ll trek to Chhukung Valley (4710m) via the Imja Khola which will provide the marvelous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, returning to Dingboche in the evening.

Day 11 – Trek to Lobuche.
Today the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, passing by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We continue to climb, heading to Lobuche (4919m), really just a few huts at the foot of giant Lobuche peak.

Days 12, 13 and 14 – Trek to Pumori base camp.

After walking about six hours we will reach the Pumori base camp, spending these nights at the base camp. We will also make visit to the Everest base camp during this time.

Days 15 to 32 – Climbing period.

During the climbing period trek will pass through the most technical part of this peak is around Camps 1 and 2. Camp 3 will be at an altitude of 6,480m, around a corner after the ridge.

Day 33 – Trek back to Pheruche.
Today we climb down to Pheruche. Overnight at Pheruche guesthouse.
Day 34 – Trek to Namche Bazaar.
After reaching Pheruche we take a slightly different route down to Orsho, entering Pangboche village. Leaving the mountains behind, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery (3860m) before returning to the town of Namche Bazaar (3441m).

Day 35 – Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6 hours.

We return to Lukla (3404m), where the trip began, after a six hour trek.

Day 36 – Morning flight back to Kathmandu.

With the completion of the trek, we will take flight to Kathmandu from Lukla.
Day 37 – Leisure day in Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner.
This is the day for leisure. You will get chance to view the cultural and monumental places of Kathmandu.
