Bardia National Park

Bardia National Park lies in the western part of Nepal, occupying 374 sq. miles in the area. It was declared a national reserve in 1976 and is the home of last remaining wild elephant of South Asia. The park consists of grasslands and forests with large number of deer species like Chital, Hog Deer, Barasingha, Sambar, etc. The park is also inhabited by other animals like Anelope, the Blue bull, langur Monkey, Rhesus Macque, south bear, etc.

Bardia National Park also includes the Babai River valley which preserves forests, grasslands and river in habitats the rare species of flora and fauna. The nearby Karnali, Girwa and Babai Rivers will enable you to see the Gharial and freshwater Dolphin as well as you can see extremely endangered birds like the Bengal florican and other species like blackbuck, silver eared mesia and saru crane. It is also inhabited by more than 30 species of resident and migratory birds, wide variety of reptiles and fishes as well. Detail Itinerary of Bardia National Park

Day 1: Arrival

From Amabasa or Nepalgunj Airport, you will be picked and transferred to hotel. On first day you can visit the crocodile breeding centre and can also make a short excursion to the nearby village, which is inhabited by the Tharu community, to explore their culture and lifestyle.

Day 2: National Park

The morning will begin by going for a Jungle walk and later for an elephant back safari. In the evening, the trip will take delight in a Tharu Cultural dance program.

Day 3: Departure

After completing the entire programs of the trip, today you will return back to your destination.
